DEM Party reacted against the detentions within the scope of the investigation against Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality and said, “For social peace and a strong democracy, the will of the people from Istanbul to Van, from Mardin to Adana must be respected.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lawsuit filed against Istanbul Bar Association President \u0130brahim Kabo\u011flu and 10 members of the Executive Board due to “making propaganda for an illegal organisation” and “publicly disseminating misleading information” was held in Istanbul. The trial will continue tomorrow. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the final declaration of the Interim Meeting of the Democratic Local Governments Board of the DEM Party, it was stated that the reservation on the Charter of Local Self-Government should be removed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A DEM Party delegation met with the AKP delegation consisting of Deputy Chairman Efkan Ala, Speaker \u00d6mer \u00c7elik, Group Chairman Abdullah G\u00fcler and Deputy Group Chairman \u00d6zlem Zengin. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Erzurum Regional Administrative Court has ruled the governorate’s decision in Van to ban protests against the trustee initiative unlawful. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the DEM Party’s statement on the meeting with MHP, it was stated that the issues that the Parliament should take on in the context of the Kurdish issue were discussed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office launched an investigation into the “Freedom for \u0130mamo\u011flu” banner hung by CHP MPs on the bridge. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

President Erdo\u011fan met with Syrian Transitional President Ahmed al-Shara. Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Minister of National Defence Ya\u015far G\u00fcler, Head of National Intelligence Organisation Ibrahim Kal\u0131n, Head of Defence Industries Haluk G\u00f6rg\u00fcn and Syrian Foreign Minister Assad Hasan al-Shaybani also participated in the meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the 4th wave operation against Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, detention warrants issued for 49 people, including names close to Ekrem \u0130mamo\u011flu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ministry of National Defence said that operations are continuing in order to completely eliminate the PKK’s capacity to act and move. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

DEM Party’s motion to investigate missing people was rejected in the parliament by votes of the AKP, MHP, and \u0130Y\u0130 Party. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Answering questions from journalists President Erdogan said “I have no intention to be re-elected or to run again.” He added “The key question is whether the Republican People\u2019s Party will embark on a journey with us to make a civil constitution.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The court decided to release Ruken G\u00fcla\u011fac\u0131 on judicial control measures in the form of house arrest. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

B\u00fclent Tekb\u0131y\u0131ko\u011flu, the governor of Tunceli and trustee of Tunceli Municipality had allegedly decided to resign on May 19 after the commemoration took place in the region for PKK executives Ali Haydar Kaytan and R\u0131za Altun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stating that they support MHP leader Devlet Bah\u00e7eli’s call for the establishment of a commission in the parliament, Pervin Buldan, a member of the \u0130mral\u0131 delegation, said: “Negotiations for the establishment of a commission should start as soon as possible.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Within the scope of the \u2018corruption\u2019 investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office against Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, detention warrants were issued for 53 people and 47 people were detained yesterday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Tokat T Type Prison, the treatment of sick prisoners is being prevented due to the oral search which has been going on for 7 months. The Administration and Observation Board is also preventing the release of prisoners on various grounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first hearing of the trial against Swedish journalist Joakim Medin due to \u2018insulting the President\u2019 after he was detained at Istanbul Airport will be held on 30 April. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the report prepared by the Association of Lawyers for Freedom on Bolu F Type Prison, 33 prisoners were prevented from being released on the pretexts of reading books in common, watching Kurdish TV and having too much paper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A lawsuit was filed against members of the 2024 Newroz Organising Committee in Eski\u015fehir due to “violating the Law on Meetings and Demonstrations”. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The court decided to continue detention of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem \u0130mamo\u011flu and 30 people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Justice Minister Y\u0131lmaz Tun\u00e7 responded to the request for Abdullah \u00d6calan to meet with journalists and politicians and said, \u201cWhat needs to be done within this legal framework can be carried out.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
