Turkey formalizes peace process subcommissions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Turkey\u2019s National Solidarity and Integration Coordination Board has formalized four subcommissions to coordinate implementation of the framework law at the centre of the Kurdish peace process: Judicial and Legal Affairs Coordination, Monitoring and Verification, Social Cohesion and Integration, and Disarmament and Strategic Coordination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fact-finding mission to North & East Syria<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

An independent MAF-DAD fact-finding mission documented attacks on civilians, hospitals and detainees in Aleppo and North and East Syria. Amnesty International reports a major nationwide crackdown following the \u201cMy Family Is Safe\u201d operation. At least 116 people were arrested across 15 provinces, with dozens placed in pretrial detention, while human rights organisations, journalists and online accounts have also faced restrictions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Media and Law Studies Association monitored 21 hearings involving 67 defendants in September, including journalists, lawyers and students.
